People debate on whether we should save our heritage or not? But have you ever wondered what is heritage?
Heritage is our history, whether tangible or intangible. It makes us who we are. One should not forget that whether they are monuments or our culture, it is our history. It tells us about the religious and cultural exchanges that happened in our country and how did our forefathers used to live. It is something that we should be pride of. It also tells us about the folk tales which were popular during that time.
Nowadays this heritage is slowly vanishing away from our lives. That is why it is important to preserve it.

Heritage not just about saving buildings made of bricks and mortar, it’s about saving the layers and layers of information about our ancestors and where we are from. Without heritage, there would not be any family history or a culture to identify with!
Heritage is not just monuments, there is much more to it. There is culture, tradition, customs, literature and music.
Traditions like Pongal, Baisakhi, Diwali, Holi etc. is celebrated in India.

Literature is also a great part of heritage .Many famous authors and poets make this heritage richer with their work.

CONSEQUENCES OF LOSING OUR HERITAGE WOULD BE DEVASTATING! Our future generations would not know about their family roots and traditions. Magnificent monuments would be treated as mere buildings and would ultimately be forgotten and in the worst case scenario destroyed to increase the land space.

So now its up to not only for the government but also US to preserve our HERITAGE!
